Altus Athletic 6-Inch by 24-Inch Foam Roller Review. Durable Foam Roller - 24 in. long length by 6 in. diameter. Perfect for stretching, yoga Pilates exercises, rehabilitation, and massage key muscle groups....
"Altus 24" foam roller" 2010-01-30
By One Ply (Brooklyn, NY)
An excellent foam roller. I've worked it hard for a month now, and it hasn't deformed at all. But it's not rigid; it's soft enough to use on my tender IT bands. I like the unusual 24" length, which eats up less storage space than a full-length roller but ably handles the same functions. All but one, that is: it's not long enough to support the length of your spine and your head simultaneously.
"Works very well for me." 2009-12-07
By R. Buckley (Irvine, CA)
I've used foam rollers in the gym and they worked really well for me on relieving muscle aches specially on my quads, hamstring and calves. I got this for home use and I have been using it even for stretching while watching tv. I have used hand held massagers and heat pads for my legs just to relieve soreness but stretching with foam rollers worked out the best for me. I am happy with this purchase. This specific product is quite good too. It is not as expensive and has a good quality density foam.
"Perfect for soft tissue work." 2009-09-19
By J. Ousley (Kentucky, USA)
So far it has lasted 3 months and it doesn't look any different than when I first got it. I use it daily for soft tissue work.

"Great Product! Relieved my pain within days." 2010-02-18
By T. Phillips (Watsontown, PA USA)
EXCELLENT PRODUCT - Very Sturdy! I wish I had known about this years ago. I have trochanteric bursitis which basically means severe pain in both hips & thighs! I've suffered for many years and have taken many medications and injections which sometime help but only for a short time. While watching Dr Oz one day he mentioned this Foam Roller for bursitis pain. I researched the item on the internet and purchased it that evening. I decided on the 24" size. For something so very simple it delivers great pain relief. I found the exercises on the internet and they are very simple movements once you get the hang of it! BE PATIENT...it can be very painful to exercise your sore, tender areas but believe me it is well worth the effort. I perforn these exercises whenever I have a minute or two to spare and it only takes 60 seconds per spot. Of course when I started I could only bare to do 3-5 seconds because of the pain. After only a month I'm happy to report I can "MOVE" about without pain. Yes, I still have my flare ups but I no longer take any pain meds. If you are unsure about this item I would suggest talking to a Physical Therapist or someone that does deep tissue message. I've ordered many things from Amazon but this is by far the best money I've spent! I LOVE MY FOAM ROLLER! It is VERY Sturdy and the 24" size makes it easy to keep out of sight when not in use. When the roller first arrived I was very skeptical but now I'm a believer!!

I am a COPD patient and my doctor recommended that I buy the Arosa oximeter as it has the best accuracy for this product at the $100.00 price range. I was delighted to find it at Amazon for nearly half the price. It is nice and compact, I can carry it around with me very easily.
It is exactly as described.I wd highly recommend this oximeter.

"A Good Tool" 2010-03-17
By broker45
Most people probably haven't ever heard of eccentric exercise, which is the type of exercise these bars provide. Eccentric, or "negatives" as bodybuilders call them, are basically the lowering portion of an exercise. For instance, if you lift a weight over your head and lower it, the lifting is the "concentric" part, and the lowering of the weight is the "eccentric" part.
Without a doubt, this is one interesting tool you can use that will provide eccentric exercise for your wrist muscles. So what's the big deal with eccentrics? Well, there have been studies showing that when people with tendonitis conditions do just the eccentric part of an exercise, they get better. Problem is, there are tennis elbow studies specifically showing that if you do just the concentric (or lifting part) only, you get better too (Martinez-Silvestrini 2005). Therefore, eccentric exercise, as this tool most surely provides, will help tendonitis, but its far from a "magic" cure, and you can achieve the same results as doing "concentrics" with a light dumbbell.
Perhaps more importantly though, people with tennis elbow need to know that resistance exercise is just ONE part of what you need to be doing to totally get rid of your tennis elbow.
Studies on tennis elbow and eccentric exercise, such as the one I quoted above, had patients ALSO do stretching exercises and I know of no studies that have had people with tennis elbow do just eccentric exercise alone and they've gotten better. Therefore, suggest people with tennis elbow check out this tool, as well as books like Treat Your Own Tennis Elbow for a well-rounded program. Good luck.
"The best way to treat elbow tendinitis!" 2010-05-27
By Catlady911 (Happy Valley, MA)
I have both golf elbow and tennis elbow in both arms, which is pretty funny considering I don't play and rarely do anything with repetitive motion. I was treated with ultrasound, localized steroids, and given the standard exercises. Only the exercises helped, but I had to do them a couple of times a day, they only provided partial relief, and if I stopped the pain came right back and it would take a week or two of exercising to get them to calm down again.
I saw the article about the Tyler Twist with Flexbar in the NY Times, ordered the red one and consider it the best money I ever spent on a health care product.
If you go to YouTube you can see better videos of the exercises than were available in 2009 when the Times article appeared. Just search for Theraband Flexbar. The Tyler Twist and Reverse Tyler Twist are really simple exercises - quick and very effective. And I never needed to go up to the next resistance (green). Every couple of months the elbows start to get sore, I whip out the red bar, do the exercises and two days later the pain is gone.
If you have either tennis elbow or golf elbow you can't do any better than to use this product. Quick, cheap and easy - can't beat that. Thank you Theraband and Tim Tyler!
"Blue bar for stronger guys" 2010-03-18
By Mrs. Lucinda Ramos (Florida)
The blue flexbar is listed for heavier resistance to twisting.
I am strong and athletic with only minor tennis elbow issues,
and the blue has ample resistance but not too much. Strong guys... buy the blue!
If you'd like to try the exercises, before buying a Flexbar,
you can use a simple pool toy. I mean the long brightly colored foam tubes that are
three inches in diameter and about five feet long and cost only a couple of bucks.
Cut off about a foot and give it a twist!
The real Flexbar has much greater range of twist and is very heavy and appears durable.
"Flex bar worked for me! :)" 2010-06-01
By BP (Columbus, OH)
I got Tennis Elbow from golfing in 2003. (pain on the outside elbow joint) I had cortisone shots 2 years in a row to at the suggestions of several people. Each time the pain came back. Then I tried acupuncture. That helped for a while as well, but the pain came back again. I wore the strap on my forearm to lower the pain while golfing. This was tolerable, but not the long term solution.
I heard about the flex bar and googled it on the internet. This was over a year ago. This is the only thing that has worked for me. I have been pain free for over a year. I continue to use it occasionally as preventive medicine.
"Good therapy for tennis elbow" 2010-02-23
By S. Carr (Belmont CA)
I concur with the other reviewers who saw the video on the New York Times web site which demonstated how exercises with the FlexBar Exerciser can help relieve tennis elbow. I have not used the exerciser that much but it still has helped a lot. One caution, the green medium tension still requires a lot of strength to perform the twists so you may want to start with the red tension bar.

"Exceptional" 2010-07-03
By Michael Garst (key west, fl)
I recently returned from training where I was running up and down the beach, in and out of the water, and sweating profusely in 95 degree heat. On day one, I thought I'd be ok as I have never chafed before, but I WAS WRONG. It was so bad, I thought I was going to have to go to the ER- I was even blistered up. Not only did BodyGlide help settle the pain and prevent further irritation, but using it in advance has proven to be every bit as effective as advertised.
I considered 4stars because of the slight residue it leaves, but in my opinion that is worth avoiding the "complications".
"Thigh Saver!!!" 2010-06-27
By R. Colley (Kentucky)
I ordered this for my son who works at a distribution center. He stays on his feet and is constantly on the move and frequently gets chaffed and scalded between his legs.He had it so bad recently and I found this product on Amazon and ordered it. Within two days of use he was completely over it and has not had a problem since. He keeps this in his lunch box and takes it to work with him every day. This is the best product we have found for this type of problem. Highly recommend!!!
"Works Everyday" 2008-12-27
By Joshua D. Hanser (St. Louis, MO United States)
I was turned onto this while dating a long distance runner and complaining about chafing on my inner thighs on days when I'd be in for a lot of walking around. Well, the girl didn't end up being much good, but this stuff was awesome. Now I use it everyday and never have any problems from my legs rubbing together, whether just on my feet all day at work or for long, sweaty exercise. This isn't a cheap, scam-y product like I'd been worried about. Highly recommended.
"the best buy of the year." 2010-06-30
By waker lee
for any ladies out there, summer can be a tough time. You want to wear cute little skirts - but chaffed thighs are hellish. This product changes all of that.... so much that I have made all of my friends try this. Whether you are going for a run, or out in your slinky dress and don't want to wear spanks or hose so you don't rub, this is the perfect secret weapon! This has revolutionized my summer clothes selection - I will never leave home without it!
"BEST ANTI-CHAFING" 2010-05-30
By T. Michael Doy
There are a few anti-chafing products on the market today. This one is hands down the best. Some of the other products made with vegetable oil have a weird residue and make your crotch smell funny at the end of the day. I get severe chafing between my legs especially during the warmer months due to my oversized manhood. After showering and drying off really well, I glide this product several times on each inner thigh and under the testicle sac. No chafing at the end of the day. There is no messy residue and no funky smell either.

"pretty ballet shoes" 2007-10-02
By Jessica Mostacero (USA)
I got this ballet shoes for my 4 year old, she loved them but you really have to buy one or even two sizes bigger,I ended up buying 2 pairs because the first ones were too small for her. So make sure you buy 1 or 2 sizes bigger, they grow so fast anyway!! The shoes are very soft and it has an elastic band to make them fit their feet.
"Great ballet shoe for my tiny dancer" 2010-04-03
By S. Kaplan (NJ)
We originally purchased these in a specialty dance shop. When it came time for the next size, Amazon's price was awesome. My 4-year old's feet are narrow, and these were a perfect fit (we got the Narrow style). You can tighten them a little by pulling and tying the string, and the elastic band that goes over the top of her foot isn't too tight or too loose. The shoe holds up great, the color is nice (we have pink), and my little ballerina loves them! You usually can't go wrong with Capezio dance products. Make sure you try them on in a local store before purchasin, so that you get the correct size & don't waste money on shipping a return.
"Excellent Buy, But Order Big" 2010-09-30

These are really great shoes. As other have said, though, make sure to order BIG. My daughter's regular shoes are a 10.5W and I ordered a size 12W in these. They fit with just a little room to spare.

Brazil Butt Lift - Workout DVD (English and Spanish) Review. ...
"Awesome!!!!" 2010-03-08
By K. Gibson (USA)
I have never written a review before today but, the person who rated this program as 1 star inspired me to. I have been an exercise enthusist for 2 1/2 years now and this program is one of the best. I've never done any beach body stuff before. Got this program 3 weeks ago and have already dropped 2 sizes in my slacks. It's not easy by any means so if you're not willing to work hard and stay with it, don't buy it! Three weeks in and I'm still sore daily (in a good way)! I haven't even allowed myself to "graduate" to using the exercise band and ankle weights and I've rescuplted many parts of my body more so than any other program I've done in 2 years. If you want something different and fun and have the bonus of a great "bum" then this is the program. This program is tuff, the energy is inspiring and the direction is spot on. If you truly want to change the way you feel and look and are willing to work hard, get this program!
"Noticing a difference after just one week!" 2010-05-16
By Leanne (San Diego, CA)
I'm just starting my second week of the program to help tone pear shapes, but after only one week, I've already noticed a difference -- and that is without making any changes in my eating! I will be sure to update my review after completing the full one-month rotation, but for now I wanted to record my initial thoughts in case others are thinking about purchasing this program to use this summer.
As a bit of background, I'm an advanced exerciser who usually uses Cathe Friedrich or Jari Love for my weight work, and, especially after doing Shaun T.'s Insanity program last summer, I was worried that Brazil Butt Lift might be too easy -- but it's not at all! The cardio workouts are much shorter than I'm used to doing (the cardio workouts range from 30-45 minutes long) so I had been worried that I would gain weight, but I'm noticing an allover tightening effect instead. In fact, the Tummy Tuck workout is one of the hardest ab workouts I've ever done.
The workouts are a lot of fun, and I love how they jump back and forth between the group being filmed in an indoor dance studio and the beach. The bright colors and the beach scenes make this perfect for thinking about looking good in a bathing suit for the summer. In addition, Leandro's energy is infectious, and I love his accent and enthusiasm. Many of the moves also come from samba and capoeira, which is fun for me since I did capoeira for several years.
If you're someone who doesn't like dance workouts, you might not like the Cardio Axe workout since it's very dancey, but it's a lot of fun and I would definitely attempt it a few times before writing it off! There is no way that I can wiggle or shake my hips in the same ways that the girls in the workout can, but I still have fun (and feel sexy) trying to move the way that they do!
As mentioned above, I will be sure to update this review after I finish the whole month of the pear rotation, but after just one week, I'm already impressed!
UPDATE ON 5/28/10: I just finished my third week of the pear rotation, and have noticed definite improvements! My thighs and saddlebags have trimmed down, as has my tush. I've been able to fit back into pants that had been a bit too snug in the rear end. I'll be sure to update again with my measurements after I finish my last week.
UPDATE ON 6/3/10: I finished the program today, and took my measurements and am incredibly pleased with the results! I ended up losing just a few inches overall, but my abs and rear end are in the best shape they've ever been in! Even though I'm small, I've always been cursed with a large, Italian rear end, and today I passed the pencil test -- meaning that the pencil that this set comes with didn't stay under my "overhang." I've never been able to get rid of that back overhang until now, no matter what I've done. I've also noticed a big reduction in my cellulite, and I think that the ab definition I have is because of all the ab work that is incorporated into all of the workouts. I can't say enough good things about this workout!
"Butt Kicking Brazilian Butt Lift Workout Plan!!!" 2010-02-08
By Estelita Rodriguez (Albany, Oregon)
I got this about a week ago and I've been working out daily. I've been trying to do all the dvds but I found a favorite and I'm having a hard time tearing myself away from that one now. The box includes a tape measure, workout band, pencil (LOL) and diet plan. I loved the booklet "fat burning foods." All of the food looks delicious and the recipes seem simple. I have not actually made any of them. All the other stuff in it seem gimmicky like the 6 day supermodel slim down plan.
First dvd:
Basics - instructional on the steps used in the following work out routines
Bum Bum - squats, lunges, leg lifts, etc.
Bum Bum rapido - quicker version of bum bum workout
Bum Bum Live - one on one training.
Lots of lunges, squats, etc. in an aerobic type of workout.
2nd dvd:
High & tight
-standing work with bands
-floor work with bands
-floor work with ankle weights
Sculpt -- 45 minute workout using weights. Excellent workout. This one does include upper body exercises with weights.
This dvd is my favorite. I love using the bands and I can feel it burning in my thigh muscles and my butt. I love the floor work and I haven't seen too many workout programs with this floor work included. I can feel it working.
3rd dvd:
Cardio Axe -- a 45 min high cardio workout with a bit of dance steps in it.
Tummy tuck -- very traditional ab work, situps, crunches, leg lifts, etc.
Overall I think it's a great system. I love all 3 DVDs and the workouts. My favorite is Sculpt. They do go from being in the studio to the beach constantly and at first I found it annoying but now I got used to it.
I could have done without all the beachbody commercials in the rest of the dvd. They have an advertisement for almost everything Beach Body sells But that was just a minor annoyance. I'm glad I bought this one and I'm working out everyday. I recommend it. I think it is worth it.
""NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!"" 2010-02-05
By mdash (california)
The trainer is great--very personable and charming. And he really knows how to keep the workout going so you never do one move until your sick of it. The music is lively and helps make the program fun. My favorite routine is High and Tight--you'll walk around the next day with a sore "Bum-Bum" (as they say in Brazil), which you won't mind because it's how you know those exercises are definitely doing something good to your backside. I used this product for about 5 weeks so far and have absolutely noticed my behind and thighs getting tighter and more shapely. My balance is also better (you do lots of moves that make you balance and strengthen your core). I thought this program would just focus only on the butt, but he does sculpting exercises that also help your arms and the abs routine is challenging and really good. I have many Beachbody programs and this one is now my favorite. (You'll understand the title of my review after you've done a couple of the routines--it's something he says all the time, along with "Don't settle for less!")
"Brazil Butt Lift definitely works" 2010-02-05
By LA NY gal
Brazil Butt Lift is an awesome product for both your lower body and total body training. My 2 favorite workouts are Bum Bum and High & TIght because I can feel the muscles in my butt, thighs, calves - really everywhere on my lower body - working. I"m sort of a pear shape and I feel like doing those workouts - everything is just getting tighter and firmer. Another great workout is the Cardio Axe (pronounced ah-shay) because Leandro really gets you dancing and sweating for a great cardio workout. I really feel like I'm burning a ton of calories when I do it. I'm not even that coordinated and I can do it. Anyway, I just adore this product because my lower body is really my problem area and I feel like this is a great program to help me transform my trouble zones and slim down too.

Speedo Vanquisher Swim Goggle Review. Excellent competition goggle with shatter-resistant, polycarbonate lens with UV potection, anti-fog coating, and hypoallergenic soft silicone seals. It comes with a silicone double-length head-strap for more secure fit. Very popular Speedo goggle style!...
"My daughter LOVES these" 2006-11-17
By S. Bryan (Smyrna, TN United States)
My daughter is on the high school swim team. She has been swimming for about 7 years now. We recently moved and she's attending a new high school. When asked what goggles he recommended, the coach opened his file cabinet and handed us a pair of Vanquisher goggles. My daughter tried them at her next practice and came home from school praising these goggles. She wears contacts in the pool and says that no water gets under these googles. She also said that they are very comfortable. I'm back to buy a couple pair for her younger sister.
UPDATE: My youngest (age 14) loves them too, and my girls never agree!
"Good, I enjoyed." 2006-06-04
By debu shoo (GA, USA)
I used these and I like them. I have a big head, but these still fit! I can see the bottom of the pool with no water leaking into and no fogs. I chose smoky color, so they do not see me, but I can see them. I do not want people to recognize me; when swimming, I am like a hippo bathing after eating full lunch.
"Speedo Vanquisher Swim Goggles" 2006-11-04
By D. Linker
I have trouble with most swim goggles, because they dig into the bridge of my nose. The Vanquisher model has a higher bridge, but still has a wide field of view. They are quite comfortable, and have really made my swim training a pleasure, rather than a torture ending with an "indented" nose.
"Excellent Goggles, really no fogging" 2007-08-08
By H.P. (Framingham, MA)
I got them yesterday and was so excited aftering trying them. For the entire 40 minutes of my lap swim, it didn't fog at all, seriously. They snuggled to my eyes tight but did not left any line. I was originally planning on purchasing the Speedo Vanquisher Women but as they don't have the colors I want (I wear contact lens therefore need more color on goggle lens to deflect some light), I went for this model and they fit well. I highly recommend this goggle. The bonus point is with extra nose piece in the case, I was able to replace it on the broken one on my old goggle and it fits well. My previous goggle was made in Japan, non-Speedo brand.
"Great competition goggles" 2007-10-16
By Taen (USA)
I have swam competitively for over 10 years and have used several different kinds of goggles. I have always been a fan of Speedo's rubber fitted goggles and these live up to their reputation. The straps work great in spreading the pressure throughout the goggles. The goggles also do not put much pressure on the eye sockets, making it easier to wear for long practices. The goggles also have great design. With just a little moisture, these goggles can stay on with most people's faces without even using the straps. I can assure you that these goggles will please any swimmer, whether they be a novice or expert.

"A Must Have!" 2010-04-02
By Mr. Mike (Eastern Shore, MD)
Definetely a good buy for pistol owners. Other holsters put the gun "TOO HIGH" on your belt.
This drops it down to a more comfortable thigh height for 'Draw & Shoot'. But watch your gun
barrel length. Ruger P95dc...just fits...But still an excellent buy !
"Great in every sense" 2010-06-30
By Beretta 92fs
I can not believe I was about to spend three times as much for this exact same holster on another site. It was brand new in original packaging with absolutely nothing wrong with it. It performs exactly how I wanted it to, very comfortable, and disperses the weight of my Beretta 92fs so well it's hard to tell I'm wearing it. Great Item, got here in two business days even tho I went cheap on shipping. BUY IT! BUY IT FROM THEM!
"Great Buy!" 2010-08-26
By Shane M
This UTG Tactical Leg Holster is amazing! You can adjust the tightness on the 2 leg straps, and also there is a belt strap that makes the holster extra secure. This holster can fit lots of guns in there snug, and even though mine hangs a little bit, it doesn't bounce around or anything. Also, there is a strap to keep the gun from falling out.
Here is my opinion on the UTG Elite Tactical Leg Holster
PROS:
adjustable straps
fits almost any handgun
durable
extra mag holder
CONS:
hard to quickly click the strap that holds the gun in the holster
This holster met all of my expectations and I would recommend this to anyone!
